Our History

A Journey of Excellence In Deo Speramus

Modrich Enterprises is a Building and Civil Contractors Company that was founded in 1999 by its
directors Zachariah Mukarakate and Modest Mukarakate. Today the company continues the family
tradition, and maintains an outstanding reputation of quality, safety, and sustainable delivery of
projects.

The company has attained recognition for undertaking large complex projects, fostering innovation, and
embracing emerging technologies. We work with an experienced core of innovative engineers and
project managers. Modrich Enterprise continues to deliver the best value and most sustainable service.

Our Leadership

Zachariah Mukarakate (Founder and Managing Director (CEO)) B. Sc. Civil Engineering (Hons) (Loughborough, U.K) and Civil Engineering (Structures) approved Civil Engineer for Design and Construction of Large Dams. Mr. Mukarakate started his working life in 1981 as a Technician with the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Development. In 1988 he obtained a degree in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology – United Kingdom. During the 11 years he was with the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Development, Mr. Mukarakate was involved in the construction of numerous dams. He left the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Development in 1992 to join the private sector. In 1999 Mr. Mukarakate formed Modrich Enterprise as a construction and equipment hire company.
